Captain Turkey Meatballs

  • 1 pound of ground turkey meat
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ minced small onion
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 Tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Grapeseed oil
  • ½ teaspoon Basik’s Original Blend Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon White Pepper

Sauce

  • 1 cup fresh/frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup Blueberry Balsamic
  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 2 Tablespoons white cane sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon  Sea Salt

Instructions

  • Combine sauce ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a slow boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 7 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer sauce mixture into a blender, process until smooth. To prepare meatballs, combine all the ingredients for the meatballs into a large bowl, mix together working with hands. Shape meat into about small balls. Pour grapeseed oil into frying pan and just cover the bottom of pan. Heat up the oil and then place the meatballs into the frying pan and brown on all sides. Remove from pan and drain grease. Return meatballs to pan and pour sauce into pan and begin to simmer for 15-20 minutes or until reduced and caramelized
