Which kind of olive oil is recommended for drinking in the morning as was mentioned in the television show Balancing Act.

    Thank you

    • By its nature, higher polyphenols ( antioxidants in Evoo) will always be intense and strong. Often with a pepper “after” hue. We currently have 4 harvests with exceptionally high poly’s. I personaly take our Picual 600. All of these harvests have gone through lab testing so we know what the chemical structure is. Polyphenols are the key component most people want to know. Others are

      Hojiblanca 450
Leccino 420 (most neutral but still strong)
      Frantioi 450
      Picual 600

I do have others that are milder. The sweet mild oils are great and I have them as well but they are not high in poly’s. Again, by it’s nature a sweet mild oil will never have a high poly. ( Shouldn’t say never but highly unlikely)

However, don’t forget you can always “wash” down a strong oil with one of our phenominal vinegars.— Strawberry’s a good choice since it’s sweet which is great for your stomach.

By the way, the blood orange with the cinnamon pear balsamic is our second best pairing. I have lots of pairing suggestions and will be including them on the site over time, so keep coming back!

      Thanks for your question.

Just recenlty visited Naples Olive Oil Company and I am delighted with the products. Left with a variety of oil and Balsamic vinegar. The taste is amazing. Who would have ever thought of putting olive oil on ice cream!!! You have to try it. The staff is extremely helpful and know their products. I am going back for more. Check out the website and then head to the store. You will not be disappointed.

    • I love your products and your staff. I have developed a new found interest in the importance healthy olive oils impact my own well being. Thank you for the integrity you bring to your products and to serving your customers.

  3. I LOVE this stuff! In making my first purchase I thought this is too much money to spend on olive oil and vinegar. And to myself I said I will look for cheaper and it will taste the same. NOT TO BE FOUND. In a year of looking I’ve stopped looking. THis product is not to be found anywhere. The taste and quality has changed the way I cook and think about olive oil and vinegar.

I’m very excited that you’ll be adding recipes to your website. Your product is amazing and I can’t wait to find more ways to use them!

  5. Can you tell me what the health benefits are of having 2 tbsps of olive oil a day. Thanks,

  6. Hi Cathy

Having two tbsps of olive oil a day helps in many ways:

    1. It affects a cellular level and will help with skin, hair etc.
    2. It helps decrease bad LDL in cholesterol
    3. It helps stabilize blood sugar.
    4. There is an anti-inflammatory agent so it helps with inflammation.
    5. It’s packed with vitamin E so of course it’s great for skin.
    6. It also turns on the Leptin hormone in your brain which tells your stomach that you are full so you don’t eat as much.
  7. I was watching the Balancing Act this morning and hearing takng 2 Tbls. of olive oil on an empty stomach, is health beneficial. Is this EVOO, EVO, or just olive oil? This program really got me interested in olives! Thanks!

  8. I just bought two bottles of extra virgin olive oil that is from Greece. I noticed the born date is 2011. Is this oil still good?
